Reunion Coming!

It's almost time for our R&H Meldrum Family Reunion! 

  (June 26-30)

It will be at Arch Dam campground at Flaming Gorge.

  If you haven't already, please let me know who is planning on going so that I can divide up the meal responsibilities for everyone.

As usual, we will be having:

Talent show-- Bonny and family are in charge of that.

Kids activities-- each family bring something fun to do for the kids to do as a group. 1-10,,11-18,,18 and Up.

Fun meals together--Paula is organizing the meals.

Please contact me ASAP to let me know who will be coming, and if you have any ideas, preferences for meals, etc….

May Fireside

Yesterday was our Fast Sunday Family Fireside.  The J&K Meldrum family was in charge of the lesson. Ashley prepared and presented a wonderful lesson about Faith.  It was a good time that we could all share our feelings and testimonies together.  Ashley did a great job and we all were fed spiritually.  Afterwards we enjoyed dessert by the Davis family-- Yummy peach cobbler with ice cream or whipped cream.  It was from Grandma Alene Meldrum's recipe.  Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time. 

Krystal wants everyone to know about her new business as a home and family organization consultant.  She has a website to give you great tips and help to do it on your own, and she will even come to your home to help you get those trouble spots in tip top shape.  We all know how amazing she is at keeping an organized and balanced life, now she is letting us in on her secrets!  Take a look at her website:    http://www.familyorganizationtips.com/   

We have decided to divide up the responsibilities at FSFF and ask you to sign up for a month when you can be there.  Give the lesson, provide music, or bring dessert.  This will be different in that everyone will not be bringing a dessert, but just one family brings for everyone.  Call Mom or Paula and let us know when you want to do what!

Family Firesides

In February Mom gave the fireside and told about her grandparents. I was not able to be there, but my kids were and they said that it was a nice fireside. Benjamin made brownies with his brownie maker he got for Christmas.
For our monthly Family Firesides we would like to have more participation for the lesson, refreshments, music, and histories. Please contact Mom or Paula to sign up for a month that your family will be in charge of one of these things.

Fast Sunday Family Fireside

On August 7th Mom gave the fireside. It was about her grandmother, Margaret Mariah Terry Mendenhall Cloward. We learned about the many places that Grandma Cloward lived in her life-time. I counted 28 places that she had lived. I read the story that Grandma wrote about the year they had Christmas in a stable. When I think about all that they went through just to make a living, and that they still had faith and raised a large family, it makes me very grateful for the heritage we have been blessed with.

After the lesson we enjoyed the many desserts that were served.

I hope that everyone will come to the Mendenhall Family reunion on September 2 in Payson to get to know more about this branch of our family!

Our next Fireside will be September 4th @6:30.

Kyle's saying 38+ words, sounds of a dog, horse, cow & duck. He says star and knows what a star is and is learning other shapes! My favorite is when I ask him to say grandma he says "mama".

Here is some late news-- Jared and I bought a house this year in February and moved in on April 1st! ( no kidding!)

It's my 25th birthday on August 19th:)

REUNION TIME!!

We'll see you all June 23-25, 2011 at Teton Valley Cabins!!

There are about 65 members of the Meldrum Family going to the reunion next week. It will be a great time to build family bonds and get reaquainted with more distant cousins.

Our Family is doing breakfast Friday morning with the Blad family. Bill and Paula have stuff for an Easter egg hunt, and Blads are organizing a program.

There will be lots of fun things to do together while we celebrate Halloween and do trick-or-treating (have a trick to do!), and a gift exchange for Christmas.

Plan on helping with the activities we have planned because you will be asked to help!
