Meldrum Family News November 2008

Thanksgiving Celebration
We will be having Thanksgiving dinner at our home this year (as always). It is our turn to have it with the Meldrum’s.
Anyone who would like to come please let me or Mom know ASAP and we will make food assignments.
Of course, there will be turkey, potatoes and gravy and lots of pie.
We would love to have whoever would like to come!

Mom’s Message

Nov. 4th
It’s raining and the temperature is about the same as it is in London. Scott and Kim would be right at home here.
This has been a busy month for all of us, with Adam’s entering the MTC, Stacey going to Mexico, Melanie’s new baby, Marianne’s surgery, and all the usual things. Margaret can finally walk without crutches, which is very good news.
I went to Saint George with Paula and Bill for the band competition and stayed for a week with marianne and helped her with a couple of quilts. I visited with Mark a couple of times and got caught up on his family’s doings.
Amanda’s husband Darrin still needs your prayers for a full recovery after his accident. He has had several surgeries and some complications. Amanda, we love you and keep praying for you.
We have so much to be thankful for. I love this time of year when we are reminded of all of our blessings! President Joseph F. Smith said, “The grateful man sees so much in the world to be thankful for, and with him the good outweighs the evil. Love overpowers jealousy, and light drives darkness out of his life.”
May you lives be filled with Love and Light!
Love, Mom

For each new morning with its light,For rest and shelter of the night,For health and food, for love and friends,For everything Thy goodness sends.
